During her Ph.D., she collaborated with the Centre for Psychiatry, at the Queen Mary University of London as a visiting research fellow.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-size: 14pt\">Has received several public engagement grants and recognitions from prestigious bodies for bringing various disciplines together to increase suicide awareness among Turkish migrant populations throughout her Ph.D.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-size: 14pt\">Member of the Global Mental Health Cultural Psychiatry Research Group as a researcher.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-size: 14pt\">Currently works on a project developing a rehabilitation programme for Burn survivors in Low and Middle-Income Countries. Nevertheless, even after considerable changes in legislation, movements, and activism, we still see gender inequalities in many contexts of our society. Different ideological views are essential and part of democracies. However, the polarisation of political views can lead to conflicts and populism. Society is experiencing an era of technological change, with developments in science that have the potential to impact every facet of our daily lives. AI-based technologies have the capacity to perform tasks at \u201ca much greater speed, scale, or degree of accuracy than humans\u201d. This provides us with opportunities to address rising challenges in society. For this reason, the investment in artificial intelligence and machine learning has been significant. Several disciplines have been adding value to this field and contributing to policy-making concerning AI. However, the role of psychology in artificial intelligence\u2019s policy-making is unclear, particularly in Europe, leaving space for us, psychologists, to promote spaces to debate it. Could this be an opportunity for psychology?<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"10\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #ff6600\"><b> Education<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-size: 14pt\">Goal #4 of the Sustainable Development Goals is to \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-size: 14pt\">ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all\u201d. However, systemic inequality will have great repercussions in our future education system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">There is a worldwide need to remove the obstacles to access a quality education. It gives future generations an opportunity to break the \u2018cycle of inequality\u2019. Education policies should promote inclusivity and empowerment as two strategies to build lifelong learners. Ever since the Covid-19 outbreak, education has been in the spotlight. Are we using public policies to improve the system? What else has to be done to empower students to make informed decisions?<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"11\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #ff6600\"><b> Environmental Psychology and Climate Change<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-size: 14pt\">Making cities more sustainable is synonymous with changing people's behaviours towards sustainability. Therefore, it is of great interest to understand the mechanisms behind people's perceptions regarding climate issues: what makes the individual choose between sustainable and unsustainable behaviours? Are those behaviours considered choices at all, or an unavoidable necessity?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-size: 14pt\">Nowadays, the effects of climate change are becoming increasingly evident and have more negative consequences for individuals. Seeing how it is a pressing issue, how can psychology have a say in climate action?
