Research Summer School

EFPSA Research Programme 2023/2024 announcement

Dear Research Community,

As the new mandate had started, the new journey begins. We would like to kindly welcome you to our blog as the new Research Programme Team for the 2023/2024 mandate. This year will be full of changes and surprises for both us and you, our fellow scientists.

First of all, we would like to shortly introduce ourselves to you. The Research Programme Team for this mandate is made by Kinga Meler – Research Programme Coordinator, overseeing our work, Gina Cheung – Research Programme Team Member, who will be taking care of our social media and Olivia Szwinge – Research Programme Team Member, responsible for this blog.

Unfortunately, despite all our fresh energy and readiness for the upcoming challenges, we don’t have only good news for you. We regret to announce that this year’s Research Programme (RP) won’t include the Research Summer School as it used to. You can imagine, this information is as disappointing for us as it is for you. The reason behind this decision is that the Research Programme needs to have some significant changes implemented both in its structure and image. As a new team, we decided to commit ourselves to rebuilding RP and making it bigger and better. Alas, to fulfil our goal, we need some time. Hence this is why for the next couple of months we will be working hard to make sure that The Research Programme for the next mandate will be as perfect as you can only imagine.

However, the lack of this year’s Research Summer School does not mean the Research Programme 2023/2024 will not take place. We have already started working on projects and events where we will be able to meet, share our experiences and develop our inner scientists. As we all know, the Research Programme is people and it cannot happen without you. To make it work, we need your help. The change begins with us. We need to build a strong community of young scientists, eager to share their passion for science. You can expect lots of smaller and bigger science-oriented events, where you will have a chance to work on your researcher’s skills and get inspired by Psychologists from all around Europe. We encourage you to participate in workshops, webinars, conferences and other online events which we will tell you more about soon.

By saying that, I would like to encourage you to take the first step and as you are already here, jump on our blog and think of how you can contribute to it. We would like it to be, along with our social media, a safe space, where we all can share our knowledge, experience and history, learn something new and have a chance to meet other Psychology students interested in conducting research. We warmly invite you to share your research, reviews, interviews and anything you want on our EFPSA Research Programme Blog – a place from students to students, made with love and passion only. You can find more information on how to prepare your article here. We are waiting for your articles on our e-mail: rpteammember@efpsa.org

Best regards,
RP Team
