The second wave of the Better Together campaign was implemented during Autumn and Winter of 2018. Eight countries including Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Hungary, Lithuania, Portugal, Greece and Turkey participated.
This year the campaign gathered 125 psychology students who delivered the workshops and 179 participants, both high school and university students. This was not the only novelty – in some countries the cycle consisted of three, instead of five workshops. However, our main aim, tackling discrimination and motivating youngsters for doing the same, was achieved.
One way in which participants combat the discrimination, with help of the Local Volunteers, is an organisation of an Open Session day. For example, they watched and discussed movies with their families and friends, set up an art exhibition with the theme of social inclusion and exclusion in cooperation with local association and organised screening of a movie in a local high school.
