Betapsi – The University of Malta’s Psychology Students’ Association is a faculty based, voluntary student organisation, founded in October of 1992. As an organisation, it strives to improve the students’ experience at University, whilst increasing awareness on mental health both on a national level as well as internationally. Betapsi seeks to ensure that the interests and rights of psychology students are safeguarded and holds a key role acting as the bridge between Psychology students and the Psychology Department.
Throughout the year, Betapsi invites Psychology undergraduates to actively participate in all the events and projects which the association undertakes. During this tenure, the student organisation tries to collaborate with different entities so as to give a holistic view of the topics being discussed, with some of these yearly collaborators being the Faculty for Social Wellbeing, the Department of Psychology, the President’s Foundation for the Wellbeing of Society, Willingness Clinic, Konnekt and Events Planner Ltd.
Overall Betapsi provides the appropriate tools to students needed for working and studying in order to embellish their Psychology portfolio. It is the place where students can build a strong network during and after their years at University.
